Unlike the old times, where the registration for the Nursing Licensure Examination requires filling out a form, applicants may now use the Online Application feature on the PRC Website (Click here to register)
After clicking the link, you will be brought to the intial page which looks like this:
Read and follow the instructions and fill out the online form. The next pages would tell you what are the requirements, how to apply and the terms and conditions. Next up is the online form itself which looks like this:
**Make sure you have your Cedula before you proceed with the registration because the form requires the Cedula Number.
***For repeaters who have submitted their application using the OAS STARTING MARCH 2012 ONLY, you may download your old profile by clicking the orange button above the form. For repeaters who took their last exam earlier than March 2012, you should encode your full profile again.
After completing your form, MAKE SURE THAT ALL DATA ENTERED ARE CORRECT. It would be a hassle if you have to correct something like your birthday which requires an intricate process (Will blog about it in the future!)
If all the data are good, you are good to go. Press the save button and voila! You are already registered! This form will come out after you accomplished the form:
So there! You are already registered! The latter part of registraion will be processed in the PRC office you are nearest to.
From my personal experience, I would advise you to do this before going to PRC to avoid the hassle. Some of my classmates failed to do so and they were required to register online. The problem was, there are no computers alloted inside PRC for this. Instead, you have to rent a computer outside and man do those shops charge a lot! My friend paid around 30-50 pesos just to rent their computer! (Think of the money you can save)
Goodluck!

Ramblings of a Registered Nurse
8.22.2013
What happens now
As nursing students, we have always been tormented by the thought of the Nursing Licensure Examination or NLE. When I was still a sophomore who was just fresh from my capping ceremony, my professors and clinical instructors would always tell stories about board exam mishaps and the like. Fastforward to my senior year and come March, I successfully completed my Bachelor's degree!
Yay! So... What comes after getting that diploma? Many of you might think of going on an vacation, catching up on sleep, blah blah blah. Not to burst your bubble or anything but based on my experience, I only had a week of R and R after graduation. My vacation was then preceeded by my review classes. (I'll blog about that in a separate post. Ehe.)
Watch out for my next post which is the procedure for the Online Application for the NLE. :) Until then!
XOXO,
Ellie
So I am finally a nurse...
After 4 years of studying, 2 months of reviewing (more like cramming!) and 2 days of mind melting exams, I am finally a registered nurse! Yay!
So... What now?
This is where this blog sets in! This online journal will chronicle my life as a newly registered nurse. I will also blog about stuff you do after seeing your name on the coveted list of passers like doing trainings and registering for your license.
I hope you all enjoy my blog!
XOXO,
Ellie
